Connect Microsoft Word to Endnote Online using Cite While You Write™
- Close all Microsoft programs
- Log-in to EndNote Online
- Click Downloads
- Navigate to the Cite While You Write™ section
- Click to download the Cite While You Write plugin for your computer (Windows, Windows MSI, or Macintosh)
- You can also view the Installation Instructions and System Requirements
Select EndNote Online as your Cite While You Write™ Preference
- Open Microsoft Word
- Navigate to the EndNote 20 tab
- Click Preferences then Application
- In the Application drop-down box select EndNote Online
- Enter in the email address and password associated with your EndNote Online account
- Click Okay
- Once Cite While You Write™ reloads, the tab name will be changed to EndNote
