Where

books can be found by searching our catalog and our e-books page. They can be print and electronic. Print books are located on the fourth (A-G), third (H-S), and second (S-Z) floors in the library; online books are accessed through our library catalog.

begin with a broad search in the library catalog. Use key terms, boolean operators, and limiters to narrow your search

How to Search for Books in the Library Catalog:

Select UI Library (books, ebooks, journals) or UI + Summit (items in the UI 36 other PNW libraries).

Start with a basic search. When you find a book about your topic, narrow with the options on the left.

If your UI + Summit search for a print book says "Check Holdings,"

Request via Summit and follow the prompts, or

Request via ILL and follow the prompts tset up your ILL account using the 14-digit barcode on the back of your Vandal Card and your last name.
