Distance Education: Find e-Reserves

This guide provides information about using the University of Idaho Library from outside of Moscow.

What are eReserves?

Sometimes your professor will place an article or book chapter he or she wants you to read on eReserve. This prevents you from having to find (and purchace) the material yourself. EReserves can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.

Finding eReserves

If your professor tells you to read materials on reserve (or eReserve), just use the Course Reserves link on the library webpage to find them.

Use the Reserves option in the library catalog drop down to search for your course prefix (i.e. STAT251, SOC311, etc.)

Image capture within the U of I library catalog. Drop down is open showing options +Summit +Articles, +Summit, Ui Library, and Reserves. An arrow is pointing to the reserves choice
