This page lists streaming music databases available to UI faculty, students, and staff through the UI Library. These resources offer online access through computers and mobile devices to hundreds of thousands of high quality recordings.

Listening on Mobile Devices

Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall

HD video and CD-quality sound of hundreds of recorded and live concerts as well as program notes and recorded interviews with performers. 

Naxos Music Library

Over 1,000,000 tracks of Classical music, Jazz, World, Folk and Chinese music. It includes the complete BIS, Chandos, Hänssler, Hungaroton, Marco Polo, Naxos, Ondine and selected titles of other leading independent labels, with over 1,000 albums added monthly.

Classical Music Library

A growing collection of over 142,000 tracks for listening and searching supplemented by extensive reference materials. Approximately 2,000 new tracks are added each month. The service also includes thousands of program notes and hundreds of music playlists. The interface enables patrons to organize, create, save and share their own selections of music.

Naxos Jazz

Over 65,000 tracks of jazz from more than 6,000 albums. Over 12,000 jazz artists are represented. Naxos Music Library Jazz comprises the catalogues of Blue Notes Records, 22 labels of Fantasy Jazz and over 150 other labels. US-based Fantasy has the world's deepest jazz catalogue and offers the very best in blues and R&B. Blue Note offers albums featuring the legendary artist John Coltrane and iconic artists such as Herbie Hancock, Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter and many others.
