This page outlines some of the print and digital map collections available from the University of Idaho Library.

What types of atlases are there?

The University of Idaho Library has atlases of all kinds:

  • Historical
  • Religious
  • Cultural
  • Political
  • Ecological
  • And more...

Location of Atlases

Altases can be found by using the library catalog. They are located in three areas:


REFERENCE COLLECTION

There are a few general atlases in atlas stands on the 1st floor near the reference desk.

MAP ROOM

A larger number of specialized, newer, or oversized atlases are available on the west side of the map room.

MAIN STACKS

Some older, but still useful, atlases have been moved to the main stacks, which can be found on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the library.
